Sentinel Spectrum for Dogs 2-8 Lbs (Up to 4 Kg)
Indications
Sentinel Spectrum is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis; for the prevention and control of flea populations (Ctenocephalides felis); and for the treatment and control of adult roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), adult hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum), adult whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), and adult tapeworm (Taenia pisiformis, Echinococcus multilocularis and Echinococcus granulosus) infections. This product is suitable for dogs 6 weeks of age and older, weighing 2-8 lbs (up to 4 kg).
Possible Side Effects
The following adverse reactions have been reported in dogs after administering Sentinel Spectrum: vomiting, depression or lethargy, itching, hives, diarrhea, loss of appetite, skin congestion, ataxia, convulsions, excessive drooling, and weakness.
Precautions
Administering fewer than six monthly doses after the last exposure to mosquitoes may not ensure complete heartworm prevention. Before giving Sentinel Spectrum Chews, dogs should be tested for any existing heartworm infections. Do not use in puppies under six weeks of age or dogs/puppies weighing less than 2 pounds.
Sentinel Spectrum Protective Measures
- Not for Human Consumption: Sentinel Spectrum is intended for use in dogs only.
- Use with Caution: Mild hypersensitivity reactions have been noted in some dogs carrying a high number of circulating microfilariae.
- Consult Your Vet: Consult your veterinarian before using Sentinel Spectrum in breeding, pregnant, or lactating females.
- Storage and Handling: Keep the chewable tablet out of reach of pets and children. Do not open the package until required. Avoid eating, drinking, and smoking while administering the dosage. Wash hands with soap and water after handling the chewable.
Contraindications
There are no known contraindications to the use of Sentinel Spectrum Chews.
