Indications
Credelio is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) and the treatment and control of tick infestations, including Lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum), black-legged tick (Ixodes scapularis), American dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis), and brown dog tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). This product is suitable for dogs 8 weeks of age and older, weighing 12.1-25 lbs (5.5-11 kg).
Possible Side Effects
The most commonly reported side effects of Credelio include vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, lethargy, and weight loss. These side effects are generally mild and transient. If any adverse reactions persist or worsen, consult your veterinarian.
Precautions
Lotilaner, the active ingredient in Credelio, belongs to the isoxazoline class, which has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions such as tremors, ataxia, and seizures.
